Convention
Texas Music Teachers Association State Convention, held annually, brings together musicians from across the state for sharing and learning. Teachers may share ideas as they attend or present sessions, pedagogy workshops and master classes; recitals and performances by outstanding musicians will be held throughout the convention. The exhibit area offers a variety of vendors who will showcase the latest publications and technology.
In addition, there are a wide variety of student activities available to teachers, students, and guests. Performance and ensemble concerts, student recitals, award programs, workshops and master classes are just a few of the opportunities available.
Hotel: The convention hotel is the Sheraton Arlington (1-866-716-8134.) The rate is
$122 plus tax. Parking is $5 per day with in and out privileges. Most of
the events will be at the Arlington Convention Center. Parking is $5 a day
but Sheraton guests may park free.
Registration: Convention registration is $70 before May 1 and $100 after. One Day
Registration is $50.
